About
Hi, I’m Folay. I’m based in Beijing and work on Android engineering.
I focus on mobile engineering, networking and reliability, developer tooling, and AI-assisted software delivery. The technical writing here comes from implementation, debugging, and postmortems in real projects rather than summaries of public material.
Outside work, I build independent products and open-source developer tools. The Projects page covers ETF Screener, MCP Dock, SelfDoc, and other work; source code is available on GitHub.
This blog documents engineering practice, personal products, and product decisions. I aim to explain the problem context, verifiable implementation path, and trade-offs behind each piece. Posts show publication dates and reading time; financial data and technical conclusions should always be checked against their primary sources and the actual environment.
For questions or corrections, contact me at mail@folay.top.
I also write web novels under the pen name “Li Guanlai.”
I like orderly things, wooden objects, and ramen.
